ABOUT US

Thank you for considering using Peyton & Associates for your family law matter. The lead attorney in the firm is Barbara Peyton. We have been helping clients and their families for over thirty years.

Our practice covers Sacramento and Placer Counties. We represent clients in all aspects of divorce and legal separation proceedings including the division of assets and debts, the sale or division of the family home, and the division or buyout of all retirement benefits. We handle the determination of spousal and child support and custody and visitation.

We are also pleased to offer services to people who need assistance with domesticpartnership cases. We follow the law and developments in this area very closely.

We represent clients during the divorce proceedings and also afterward. Because things change after the divorce is final, it is our practice to be available for clients to assist them with modifying a custody or support order or anything else that needs to be handled later on.

We have offices in Sacramento and Woodland and try to make arrangements to meet with clients at a time most convenient for them. We try to use a legal assistant whenever possible to keep costs down. We are always available by e-mail and return e-mail inquiries and phone calls as quickly as possible.

We take pride in the fact that our clients consider us friends after a divorce is final. The Peyton & Associates directive is to handle cases with dignity and diligence. We promise affordable representation and give consideration and respect for the client’s wants and needs. We offer common sense, knowledgeable experience acquired over thirty years of practice.

Frequently, clients come to us after they have tried to handle a divorce without an attorney. Divorce and divorce law in California is extremely complicated and confusing. We urge people to try to find a way to hire an attorney to take them through this very difficult time in their life because it is money well spent and having an attorney provides emotional support that is vitally needed when going through this very trying time.

We apply common sense along with a positive attitude to protect your rights. We give consideration and respect for our clients wants and needs. We listen to our client’s concerns, honestly tell them when the course they want to take is not in their best interests and fight for our clients when they are in the right.
